Jamie Blatt
Co-Founder, Reading & Learning Specialist, and Educator

Jamie Blatt is originally from Woodbury, NY. After graduating from Towson University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology, she spent time working in schools in NY with children with all types of learning differences. She moved to South Florida in 2009, and has worked primarily in the home, as an educator and mentor.

In 2014, her nephew was diagnosed with Dyslexia and ADHD and was having major difficulty learning how to read. A multisensory approach to learning was crucial for him to learn and succeed. Using the Orton Gillingham method, he made remarkable progress in such a short amount of time.

Jamie became inspired by this program and in November 2014 , she became trained in the Orton Gillingham program by the Institute for Multisensory Education (IMSE). Jamie is currently a multisensory tutor and specializes in reading remediation and math. She continues to expand awareness on multisensory learning in South Florida.

In December 2014, Jamie launched her own multisensory tutoring company, called Jamie The Tutor. Jamie The Tutor, is located in Boca Raton, Fl and provides exceptional in-home multisensory tutoring services to typical and atypical students. Her company works with children of all ages and learning styles in Broward County and Palm Beach County, Florida. Jamie The Tutor offers children a fun and unique way to learn that is both encouraging and successful.

With over 15 years of experience educating and mentoring children of all ages, Jamie’s passion for children and love for learning have made her successful. The impact she has on children’s ability to grow and succeed has always been the motivating force behind her success as an educator.

Ellen Sehter
Co-Founder, Reading Specialist, and Educational Consultant

In 2000, my son was diagnosed with Dyslexia after years of struggling in school. At the age of 14, we finally found the answer we had been searching for and an explanation for why he had difficulty learning since first grade. At that time, there were not many places to turn to, but we found an academic tutor who helped guide us through the process. It was through Jesse’s journey that I learned I was Dyslexic myself, finally understanding my own struggles.

I hold a Bachelors degree in Psychology from Queens College and studied Elementary Education in a Masters Program. I also attended the Institute for Multisensory Education where I was trained in Orton-Gillingham. I currently work as a Store Manager for an educational store, where I am able to assist parents with their children’s academic needs every day. I find the greatest joy in being able to help children find the right tools so they can learn comfortably and effectively.

I understand the journey a child must take in order to succeed and strongly believe that every child, when given the right tools, can succeed without having to endure a struggle. I am committed to helping children have fun while learning and feel confident so that they can thrive and excel.
